Biography

Founder of the firm in 2008, Christophe CARON is now a lawyer at the Paris bar after having been a private consultant for almost ten years. Specialising in intellectual property law, he works in the fields of both litigation and consultation. He is also arbitrator at the French National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC – France), at the AMAPA (Mediation and Arbitration Association for Audiovisual Professionals), at the ACPCA (Arbitration and Conciliation for the Cinema and Audiovisual Sector) and expert at the Mediation and Arbitration Centre of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
Qualified as a university agrégé law professor (civil law and criminal science) in 1999, Christophe CARON is a law professor at Paris XII where he introduced and now runs the professional Master 2 in applied intellectual property law. He teaches copyright law and industrial property law at the university, while striving to develop relations between the university world and the practical world.
He is the author of several reference books (Copyright law and neighbouring rights, Litec, 2nd ed., 2010. – Goods Law, Dalloz 2002. – Law Abuse and Copyright, Litec 1998) and several articles and legal notes in the field of intellectual property and IT law. In his role as scientific director of the monthly magazine “Communication – Electronic Commerce” (LexisNexis), he writes a column on intellectual property law. He regularly contributes to general publications and to the Semaine Juridique (annual chronicles on intellectual property law and industrial property law). Christophe CARON participates in several symposiums, both in France and abroad, and regularly organises scientific events. He is also a member of the scientific committee of the most important French law review “La Semaine juridique” and of the “Industrial property review”.
Administrator of the AFPIDA and member of several associations (APRAM, AIPPI, Cyberlex), Christophe CARON is also Chevalier in art and literature as a result of his contribution to copyright law in France.
